New Review – Hampton by Hilton Breslau Airport (WRO)

A new airport hotel that truly deserves the name “airport hotel” is located right next to Wroclaw Airport (WRO).
Who doesn’t know them – these sometimes misleading “airport hotel” names where you still need a shuttle or taxi first? Not this newly opened Hampton by Hilton Wroclaw Airport. How I liked it, read in this review!

📍 Location

Anyone arriving at the airport should walk left, past the information desk, cross the street once, and head toward the parking lot. From there you can already see the Hampton logo and it’s just a few minutes to the hotel. Unfortunately, this crossing is (still) not covered, so even this short distance isn’t particularly pleasant in the rain.

🛎️ Check-In

It was a bit sluggish. Even though there was nothing going on at the late hour, the receptionist was very busy with his phone. When I then asked if a deposit would be charged on the credit card, he was completely overwhelmed.

🛏️ Room

Very, very Hampton-typical and at least you know what to expect. Unfortunately, upon entering the room, there was an rather unpleasant smell right away. It reminded me of a chewing gum smell from my youth…

When you enter the room, the bathroom is directly on the left side. The storage surfaces could certainly be a bit larger. Shampoo etc. is found, as always, in the small dispensers.

The largest part of the room is taken up by the large bed and the couch next to it. More than sufficient for my purposes and I slept well during the night.

I was not really satisfied with the workspace – they’ve consciously omitted a proper desk (for space reasons), but the offered alternative is merely okay. A small welcome gift was also in the room which I highly appreciated.

The possibility to make coffee/tea as well as a safe round off the room’s comfort.

🥐 Amenities

The lobby has many comfortable seating options, some equipped with power outlets for longer stays. Overall, I really like this new Hampton concept.

Anyone familiar with the Hilton program knows that you normally only get free breakfast from Gold status. Hampton by Hilton takes a different approach in all hotels. Here breakfast is included for all guests. Of course, the quality varies from hotel to hotel. During my visit here, however, I was positively surprised by the variety and selection of the food offered.

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. There are enough seats, and during my stay it was regularly cleaned.

Additionally, this Hampton, like many other Hampton hotels, offers a small gym.

🔚 Check-Out

Problem-free, friendly, and the bill was correct.

🎯 Verdict

Certainly the first impression with check-in was a bit unpleasant (or the smell in the room), but price/performance was very good overall. I was also able to have a conversation that contributed to clarification. The proximity to the airport and a really good breakfast would immediately motivate me to stay here again.
