🏨 Hotel Review – DoubleTree by Hilton, Nice (France)

As someone who spends a lot of time in hotels, I know how important it is for a stay to be both relaxing and hassle-free. The DoubleTree by Hilton in Nice delivered exactly that.

From the warm, genuine welcome at check-in to the signature chocolate chip cookie handed out upon arrival – a comforting gesture that felt especially appreciated after a late-evening arrival – everything was off to a good start.

📍 Location & Surroundings

The hotel enjoys a prime location right next to Nice’s main train station (Gare de Nice-Ville). The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, making it an excellent base for exploring both the city and the coast.

The surrounding area is lively but not chaotic – giving you a perfect balance of local energy and peaceful moments. Whether you’re here for sightseeing, shopping, or simply soaking up the Riviera charm, this location really works.

🛎️ Check-In Experience

The check-in takes place on the top floor of the building – a unique feature that adds a slight boutique feel. The staff were professional, welcoming, and efficient. Within a few minutes, I had my room key in hand and was ready to settle in. In

🛏️ Room & Facilities

My room was modern, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The standout feature? Definitely the bed – extremely comfortable with high-quality linens that made for a great night’s sleep.

The bathroom was on the compact side – functional and clean, but with limited counter space. A little more room or additional shelving would have been welcome, but it wasn’t a major issue.

🍽️ Service & Dining

Throughout my stay, the staff were consistently helpful, warm, and professional – a real highlight of the hotel experience.

The restaurant offered a relaxed atmosphere – ideal for an easygoing dinner after a day of exploring. Breakfast was generous, with a wide selection of hot and cold items, and egg dishes made to order.

One charming detail: in the restaurant and bar, you can choose between city views or views of the train station. As a bit of a railway enthusiast, the train station view won me over – not everyone’s thing, perhaps, but for me, it was oddly satisfying.

💪 Gym & Fitness

The gym is compact, but includes enough equipment for a proper workout – cardio machines, free weights, and a few strength stations.

That said, in a place like Nice, where so much is walkable, and with nearby Monaco also within reach, you might find yourself getting more than enough exercise exploring on foot.

✅ Final Verdict

Overall, my stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Nice was a very positive experience. With its great locationcomfortable rooms, and attentive service, this hotel makes a smart and convenient choice for anyone visiting Nice or the French Riviera.

It’s not overly flashy or ultra-luxury, but it delivers where it matters most – and that makes it highly recommendable.
