New Review – Turkish Airlines Lounge Bangkok (BKK)

Today I’m taking you to the Turkish Airlines Lounge at Bangkok Airport (BKK).
Since we arrived a bit early at the airport – once by Grab, once by train – we had some extra time for a bit of lounge hopping. After a quick visit to the Thai Airways Lounge, we walked a bit further to check out the Turkish Airlines Lounge.

📍 Location & Access

After passing through security, walk through the duty-free area and then turn right. You’ll find the lounge at Concourse D8, Level 3.

Opening hours? 24/7! 🕒
If anything changes, I recommend checking the Star Alliance Lounge Finder:

Access is granted if you have:

  • Star Alliance Business Class ticket
  • or Star Alliance Gold status (on the same day)

You’ll receive the Wi-Fi code right at the entrance – and the connection was fast and reliable.
With our Swiss Business Class ticket, we had no issues getting in. Super smooth! 👍

🧳 There’s also a row of lockers at the entrance, perfect for storing your hand luggage safely.🧳 Praktisch: Es gibt Schließfächer, in denen ihr euer Handgepäck sicher verstauen könnt.

🛋️ Atmosphere & Layout

The lounge is quite large but feels a bit sterile and functional. A few more decorative elements – like plants or room dividers – would definitely improve the ambiance. 🌿

There’s a staffed bar in the center and a quiet area next to it, where the complimentary massage is offered (more on that below!).

💺 Plenty of seating is available – although, to be fair, we were the only guests at the time. I can’t speak for busier periods.
🔌 Power outlets are easy to find, and the various seating areas offer space for eating, working, or relaxing.

🍽️ Food & Drinks

The food offering was quite good for an airport lounge!

You’ll find:

  • a small selection of fresh, cold dishes
  • and several hot options behind the bar in warming trays

We were planning to grab another bite in the Thai Lounge later (review coming soon 😉), so this Turkish-style snack stop was a welcome change.

📸 I’ll let the photos speak for themselves here!

🥤 Non-alcoholic drinks are available in self-service fridges, along with fresh fruit and small snacks. Honestly, that’s all you really need.

💻 Workspaces, Showers & a Little Bonus

There’s a dedicated workspace area, a bit hidden near the restrooms and showers – ideal if you need to get something done before your flight.

🚿 Speaking of which: the showers and restrooms were in excellent condition – clean, modern, and well-maintained.

✨ And the highlight? A free 15-minute head & neck massage.
Sure, it’s not quite a traditional Thai massage, but it’s still a lovely little extra – and we definitely took advantage of it!

🧳 Final Thoughts

If the busy Thai Airways Lounge isn’t your thing (or you can’t access the Singapore Airlines Lounge), this is a solid and quieter alternative.

✅ Spacious
✅ Good food options
✅ Clean showers
✅ Bonus: a massage! 😍

🚶‍♂️ Just don’t underestimate the walking distances at Bangkok Airport – plan accordingly.

And if you’re all about the food, the Thai Lounge might be the better choice.
But overall, the Turkish Airlines Lounge is a pleasant, clean, and relaxing spot to unwind before your flight – especially when it’s as empty as we found it. 😉
