New Review – AC Hotel Valencia by Marriott

For my stay in Valencia, I was looking for a hotel that is simple and without much fuss. That’s why I chose the AC Valencia by Marriott, which perfectly met these requirements.

Booking

There was a pleasant surprise here: I was able to book through a cashback site. However, this was considered a direct booking, so I also received the full points and benefits.

Check-In

The check-in was a bit slower than expected. It wasn’t really complicated, but the speed and attention given to my benefits as a Lifetime Platinum Member left something to be desired. Still, it eventually worked out, and I had my room key in hand.

🛏️ Room

The room was simply furnished but very clean – just as I am used to from AC Hotels. This is not meant negatively but rather describes the reliable standards I appreciate here. In the entrance area, there is a place to leave your luggage (or under the TV), as well as a small closet with bathrobes.

🚿 The bathroom is located on the left side and is rather small, but it offers enough storage space for my needs. The shower products are, as usual for AC Hotels, found in large dispensers. The room is mainly occupied by a comfortable bed, and plenty of power outlets have been integrated, which I find very practical.

A small table with chairs is available but not really suitable for extended work – still better than no seating option at all. Additionally, there was a small welcome gift, a well-stocked minibar, and a kettle for tea and coffee, which made the stay very pleasant.

🍽️ Amenities

☕ Breakfast was not included in the room price but could be selected as an additional benefit. I chose it to at least take some pictures. The breakfast was enough to start the day energized, even though there wasn’t a large selection.

🍹 The hotel bar and the small outdoor terrace invite you to linger. However, on the first evening, there was a small uncertainty: they did not want to serve me a drink because the place was about to close. After a friendly inquiry at the reception, the situation was clarified.

🔚 Check-Out

The check-out was unfortunately quite lengthy, which I am not used to from Marriott hotels, especially since many of these locations allow you to complete the process online. On top of that, the bill was initially incorrect and had to be corrected, but the right person was not at the reception at the time, which further delayed the process.

Conclusion

The stay at the AC Valencia by Marriott offers solid standards with a clean and comfortable room, but the location is not very central. The breakfast and bar are okay, but the service at check-in and check-out could be smoother. The hotel is somewhat more expensive than comparable options without a pool or fitness area. Overall, a satisfactory choice but with room for improvement, especially regarding location and service speed.
