New Review – Singapore Airlines Lounge Taipei (TPE)

During my layover in Taipei, I had time to visit not only the Eva Air Lounge but also the Singapore Airlines Lounge and Priority Pass lounges. The Singapore Lounge is just a few minutes walk from Eva Airways and was easily accessible with my HON/Star Alliance Gold status and Eva boarding pass.

📍 Location & Access

AccessBusiness Class or Star Alliance Gold+
LocationTerminal 2, 4th Floor
Hours08:20 AM–5:45 PM daily

Perfectly reachable for Star Alliance passengers – no pre-boarding stress.

🛋️ Amenities & Layout

The layout is functional but not particularly inspiring: a long room with plenty of seating at windows and inside. During my visit, the lounge was moderately busy, making photography challenging – single guests everywhere in the frame.

Highlights:

  • Ample seating (window and interior areas)
  • Quiet atmosphere despite occupancy
  • Good views of the apron

🍽️ Buffet & Food

The buffet is at the end of the room but as there were so many visitors it was hard to take better pictures, so I let the Photos speak for themselves, but here’s the summary:

I would describe the Alcohol selection as pretty standard, but you can help yourself with it.

Tried:

  • Chicken (okay, but not fresh)
  • Fresh fruit (good)
  • Pastries/snacks (average)

Essentials are covered, but with moderate occupancy, the buffet didn’t feel super fresh. Fine for a quick stop, disappointing for foodies.

🎯 Verdict

The Singapore Airlines Lounge in TPE Terminal 2 is a reliable Star Alliance choice – easily accessible with Gold status and functionally equipped. Great for a quick coffee or work stop, but food lovers should prefer the Eva Air Lounge.

Recommendation: 3/5 – meets expectations but doesn’t exceed them.
